Terms of Service

Last updated August 21, 2026.

Agreement

Labor of Science is an independent platform created by a UNC Chapel Hill student. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the platform.

Who can join

Labor of Science is intended for current students, faculty, and professionals who want to mentor students in chemistry and related fields. You’re responsible for keeping your account information accurate.

Acceptable use

Content you post, including flashcards, notes, reviews, Final Questions, and internship postings, should be your own and honestly represent who you are. Don’t use the platform to harass other members, impersonate someone else, or post content you don’t have the right to share. Reagents (site moderators) may remove content or accounts that violate this.

Mentor claims

A student can claim a mentor relationship in Settings, but it only becomes a confirmed connection once the mentor confirms it from their own account. One-sided claims are never shown as confirmed.

No guarantees

Labor of Science is provided as-is, run by students, without any warranty. We do our best to keep matching, scheduling, and account features accurate, but can’t guarantee the platform is error-free or available at all times.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the platform grows. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
